RMedicine (RClub)
The purpose of University of Calgary RMedicine (RClub) is to develop a community of people interested in the use of R. R is open source (free) and has many interesting and powerful features.
Activities
- Meets monthly to discuss various topics about R. Some of these topics will include introduction to R and examples of new packages.
- Provides a R code repository for the sharing of R code and statistical techniques. The R code repository also has the ability to execute the R code in a standard web-browser.
- Encourages the building of R code packages in various topic areas -- such as health services research and epidemiology.
Subscribe to University of Calgary RMedicine Mailing List

Resources
The R Journal - is the refereed journal of the R project for statistical computing. It features short to medium length articles covering topics that might be of interest to users or developers of R http://journal.r-project.org
R-Bloggers.com Journal - is a central hub (e.g: A blog aggregator) of content collected from bloggers who write about R (in English)http://www.r-bloggers.com/
R Reference Card - http://cran.r-project.org/doc/contrib/Short-refcard.pdf
An Introduction to R - Based on the former "Notes on R", gives an introduction to the language and how to use R for doing statistical analysis and graphics. http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/R-intro.pdf
Analysis of epidemiological data using R and Epicalc - The Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR) sponsored by UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO has supported the preparation of an R add-on package, Epicalc, to enable R to more easily deal with epidemiological data. http://apps.who.int/tdr/svc/publications/training-guideline-publications/analysis-epidemiological-data
Applied Epidemiology Using R - This document will focus on core basics of organizing, managing, and manipulating epidemiologic data; basic epidemiologic applications; introduction to R programming; and basic R graphics. http://www.medepi.com/epir
Epitools R Package- epitools (epidemiology tools) is an R package for epidemiologic computing and graphics.http://sites.google.com/site/medepi/epitools.
